Available functionality

Management of structured data

Manage structured information of product features (attributes), capacity or keywords. There's no need to redefine data if a group of products share the same properties. We work with classifications — you can describe your products with a standardized classification such as eCl@ss, ETIM or UN/CEFACT for clearer descriptions and better cross-system understanding with your business partners.

Group formation and hierarchy

In a printed catalog, e-shop or other channels items are grouped to make customer navigation easier. Each item or group can be assigned to multiple groups and appear in many different places. In addition to the common view, you can define relationships at the level of similar products or accessories between groups and items.

Management of unstructured data

All product descriptions can be stored in Rich Text Format and translated into any number of languages — all easily managed through PIMICS.

Media management

Some of a company's most important assets are digital — pictures, documents, videos and sounds. Our solution helps you manage, line up and classify your digital assets so that users can easily use them for web and catalog channels.

Automatic data integrity check

Each item or group is reviewed before publication against user-defined rules so that customers never see an item with incomplete data. This step eliminates later errors such as missing or incorrect text, price or product properties and saves your time fixing data issues.

Supply Catalog

Import product data in standardized formats such as BMECat, Datanorm or Excel. Data is grouped into supplier catalogs, which vendors can browse to select which products to offer — saving time without redefining data.

Publications

PIMICS gathers complete, reviewed product data in one system, ready to be published. When publishing, vendors select parts of the master data based on the space or technology of the desired channel — a printed catalog can't show everything an e-shop can, and PIMICS allows different formatting for print and online. You can create a comprehensive year-round catalog or e-shop, as well as smaller seasonal publications such as a sale flyer, a quote proposal or a microsite for a specific product line.

Omni-channel

A central location where all product information is concentrated — where a product is online, where it is in your store, and so on. This data is then complemented with information for the current user (price, history) from a single database, and progressively flows through the channels before the purchase decision, smoothing the shopping experience and improving customer retention.

e-Commerce

Our solutions are very often linked to e-shops or product portals using software such as Shopware or Kentico. All data — product information, orders, users — stays together in Dynamics NAV / Business Central, giving you a single place and uniform processes for data management.

Data export

We offer integration in popular standardized formats such as BMECat, Datanorm or Open Catalog Interface (OCI). We also offer integration with Amazon and eBay, and have experience integrating smaller markets via standard formats.

Printing of catalogs

Print large, seasonal or industry catalogs. Catalog design itself is primarily done through Adobe InDesign — either fully automatic, with the entire catalog generated from a template and PIM data, or semi-automatic, allowing customization of data and graphics. Catalog printing time is shortened and graphics are rendered independently of content.

API and integration

PIMICS has an open API, so all data can be published using REST services. We offer a range of web services for integration — such as e-shop orders or stock availability.
